A woman’s marriage from Nebraska, USA turned into a nightmare when her new husband lost his life about an hour after the ceremony.
Johnnie Mae Dennis and Toraze Davis were looking forward to June 19 to exchange vows, but the day quickly turned tragic when the 48-year-old fell ill while the couple was taking photos outside, local broadcaster KETV reported.
“His heart stopped for the first time at 4:35 p.m., just an hour into the ceremony. Toraze suffered a medical incident that he was unable to survive. In a second, it happened in a matter of seconds,” Jewel Roberson, a friend of the bride, told American media.
Everything happened under the eyes of the couple’s family and friends. To support the newly widowed woman, her friend and colleague started a GoFundMe campaign.
“We are asking that you donate to Toraze’s funeral expenses and donate money to help the new bride with her children. As you know, Johnnie Mae is always helping others; Now it’s time to help her. Please pray for her and the Davis family,” the crowdfunding page reads.
“She was widowed and married within 10 minutes. She will need lawn care. When winter comes, the snow needs to be cleared,” Ms Roberson added.
