Samantha Woll, president of a synagogue in Detroit (USA), was found dead with multiple stab wounds just a stone’s throw from her home on Saturday morning. Police have launched an investigation, but it is currently unclear whether the murder had anti-Semitic motives or not.
Greetings from the synagogue
Samantha Woll served as board president of the Isaac Agree Downtown Synagogue, located in downtown Detroit. “We are shocked and saddened to learn of the unexpected death of our board chair Samantha Woll,” the synagogue said in a Facebook post. “May his memory be a blessing.”
Officers were called to a person lying lifeless on the ground Saturday morning, and when they arrived at the scene they found a “trail of blood” that led them to Woll’s home, Detroit police said. Police believe the crime occurred at his home.
