- Goaltender Matt Turner, who captains the team for the fourth time tonight, is making his tenth Gold Cup appearance to become the third USMNT goaltender of all time in the confederations championship, tied with Tony Meola.
- Turner also made his eighth appearance in a knockout round game, overtaking Meola for third among USMNT goalies. The 29-year-old is 5-1-1 in the knockout stages and has kept five clean sheets in the process.

- Aaron Long and Miles Robinson play central defense for the second time tonight. The duo worked together in the 7-0 win over Trinidad and Tobago on January 31, 2021 in Orlando.
- Six players have previously featured against Panama: Aaron Long and Djordje Mihailovic (2 GP); Gianluca Busio, Jesús Ferreira, Miles Robinson and Matt Turner (1 GP).
- Djordje Mihailovic made his USMNT and scored his first international goal in the 3-0 win over Panama on January 27, 2019 in Glendale, Arizona. Jesús Ferreira scored his first goal in official competition against Los Canaleros and equalized in the 27th minute in a 5-1 win in World Cup qualifiers on March 27, 2022 in Orlando.
- Five starters already have experience in the semifinals. Miles Robinson and Matt Turner both faced Qatar in the 2021 Concacaf Gold Cup semifinals and Canada in the 2023 Concacaf Nations League semifinals. Gianluca Busio and James Sands also appeared in the 2021 semifinals against Qatar while Aaron Long appeared in the 2019 Gold Cup semifinals against Jamaica.
- Should he come off the bench tonight, 19-year-old Jalen Neal (6 caps) with Mike Windischmann would make the most USMNT appearances by a seven-year-old youth centre-back.
- Five substitutions are allowed at three different times during regulation time. Half-time does not count as a substitution time. Should there be a tie at the end of the 90 minutes, two 15-minute overtimes will be played and both teams may be substituted again. If the teams are tied at the end of extra time, the game will be decided by a penalty shoot-out.
- The USMNT has participated in gunfights in official competitions seven times, advancing five times.
