UTC coach took tough shots at Alianza for playing in Nacional and outside Cajamarca

At the end of December 2023 the Peruvian Football Association (FPF) announced by Resolution No. 038-TL-FPF-2023 that UTC de Cajamarca should change its seat for Liga 1 2024. The “Gavilán del Norte” would no longer play their home games at the Héroes de San Ramón de Cajamarca, but would now move to the Germán Contreras Stadium Jara, from Cajabamba, the venue for the northerners since they played the Peru Cup.

This change by the highest football organization is a response to the inability of the Héroes de San Ramón stadium to take into account and correct the observations of the Peruvian Sports Institute (IPD). This FPF resolution also reported that the new sports facility “received a positive technical opinion based on the collection of observations.”

In this context, one of those who spoke after the first day of the Apertura tournament was the coach of UTC, Carlos Ramacciotti. The Argentine strategist was uncomfortable playing at the Germán Contreras Jara Stadium in Cajabamba and was critical in his argument Lima Alliance.

What did UTC coach Carlos Ramacciotti say about Alianza Lima?

“There is a work culture here, hence the anger. They punish us by playing at 9 o'clock, all games are visitors. Imagine, we still haven't recovered from the game we played the other day.” Carlos Ramacciotti said at the beginning during one of their training sessions:

The 68-year-old coach, who formed a circle with his team and several journalists who had gathered for training, He “shot” at the intimate team for not receiving similar action to what they had received with the stadium change. As already mentioned, due to the blackout in the 2023 final against Universitario, Alianza Lima was punished by not playing at the Alejandro Villanueva (Matute) for six months.

“I don't understand why, if he is punished, Alianza Lima sends him to play at the National Stadium 20 blocks away and us 20,000 kilometers away. We will be grateful for anything you can do for us (to answer the problem). Press),” he explained.

The UTC board had originally considered playing as the home team at Cristo Señor Stadium; However, they later chose the Cajabamba venue, a venue where they had already played a few games.

How did UTC de Cajamarca announce its stadium change?

Through social networks, on December 27, 2023, the “Gavilán del Norte” published a message on its social networks announcing that they would host the games in 2024 at the Germán Contreras Stadium in Cajabamba.

“After many years we are leaving our beloved Héroes de San Ramón stadium. In 2024 we are ready to continue making history, where we will now share our passion: at the Germán Contreras Stadium in Cajabamba. With you to the end, Gavilán!”, they wrote.
