After 27 days, Denis Delomo, a CHU agent suspended for failing to meet his vaccination obligation, decided on the advice of his doctors to end the hunger strike that began on February 12.
Denis Delomo went on a hunger strike from 12 February. An administrative executive at CHUG, he is one of the suspended employees.
He took up residence in the parking lot of the University Hospital Center to protest the fate of employees who refuse mandatory vaccinations and to reiterate his opposition to the vaccine. Deprived of his salary since the end of October 2021, he lives only thanks to the support of his family, friends and the favor of sympathizers of the movement.
And it was for the sake of his family that he decided to put an end to his action. Denis Delomo, who felt pain in his heart in the last days, was examined by doctors who advised him to return to normal nutrition. The request was supported by his wife and children, concerned about his health.
If his electrocardiogram, a study that looks at how the heart works, is encouraging, the man is weakened. However, he intends to resume mobilization as soon as he gets back on his feet.
