Vanessa Feltz has revealed she’s trying her best to “put on a brave face” following her split from partner Ben Ofoedu, 16.

She said: “I’m doing my best to put on a brave face. After all, I’m at work, that’s my job.

“I don’t want to burden my listeners and viewers with looking thoroughly miserable so that they’re afraid to watch the program and be like, ‘Oh god, is Vanessa breaking down in front of us?’ So I try to do a professional job and persevere.

The TV personality said she had a moment of sadness on her way to work earlier this week.

She said, “I had a moment on the escalator coming out of the subway on Monday and I was like, ‘Oh God.'”

Journalist Vanessa and Ben first met in 2005 after she divorced surgeon Michael Kurer in 2000, whom she discovered also allegedly cheated on her.

She and Michael were married for 17 years and have daughters Allegra, 37, and Saskia, 34.

Speaking of Ben’s alleged infidelity, Vanessa This Morning said: “It wasn’t me who told anyone about it, I tried to keep it as private as possible.

“You know that everyone knows your private affairs, but then again, you don’t have to explain it all the time and everyone cuddles with you.”

And when discussing the 10-year age difference with Ben, Vanessa said: “I’ve never really known why I’m of interest, he was younger, I was older. We were different.

“It’s over now, I don’t know.”

She added: “It helps when people say you shouldn’t feel stupid for believing in your partner or feel stupid for believing in someone you love.

“It’s not ridiculous. I’m sad, I feel hurt, terribly humiliated, but many have said you shouldn’t do it. But believing in your relationship is not stupid.”

Vanessa was asked if she felt Ben was being unfaithful or if her discovery came as a complete shock.

She said: “Both, I think, a terrible shock and kind of a gradual thing. It’s often the case, a mix of both.

“I don’t really want to go into anything and just focus on the future and that there is a future. I want them to exist. To really gather all the love and spend time having a good time.

“We’re making a heartbroken call, I don’t know, but if they could call and help me and give advice.

She later said on the show, “I want to fall in love again. I like that I was raised to do it. If I can’t, I’ll give lots of love.’

She said: “Who knows, maybe I’ll meet someone tonight! When it happens, you will be the first to know.’

“I’m very, very grateful to be alive and I want to keep feeling that way, and I want to celebrate and find fun and laughter wherever I can.

“I know it won’t be easy, but I’m absolutely determined to do it.”
