The necklines of the getup were punctuated with large floral ornaments down the middle.
The California native’s sculpted arms were also featured in the sleeveless number.
The look was put together by Jason Bolden, the superstar’s longtime stylist.
Vanessa, who is engaged to baseball star Cole Tucker, completed the look with black open heels with silver platforms.
The sexy strappy shoes showed off her sleek and shiny black pedicure.
The stunner’s glossy dark locks were pulled into an elegant updo with a spiky bun at the back of her head.
“We were inspired by a galactic ballerina – as a tribute to Karl tonight, we modeled the texture of Vanessa’s hair on the iconic Chanel camellia,” said the beauty’s hairstylist, Danielle Priano, according to POP SUGAR.
The Hollywood firm went for a dramatic makeup look as she sported heavy black eyeliner for the evening.
Taking to Instagram to share outtakes, she wrote in the caption, “@michaelkors wanted galactic ballerina glam – so that’s exactly what we did.”

Annual: The 2023 Met Gala returned to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday night
The 2023 Met Gala returned to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday night, with everyone from Kim Kardashian to Paris Hilton attending the annual fundraiser.
Since 1948, stars have been climbing the majestic staircase to a very exclusive party where no selfies are allowed.
Traditionally, the event took place on the first Monday in May. It began May 1, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. EST.
This year, the theme of the ball was Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty. The late German designer was the creative director of Chanel for many years. He died in 2019 at the age of 85.
Fans were able to follow the event in real time via a live stream on Vogue.
Lagerfeld’s beloved cat, Choupette, was also invited to the celebrations.
The decision to honor Karl sparked controversy, given the offensive comments he’s made over the years, from criticizing the #MeToo movement to opposing same-sex marriage.
“I’m against it for a very simple reason: in the 1960s everyone said we were entitled to the difference. And now all of a sudden they want a middle-class life,” he told Vice of same-sex marriage.

“Hard to imagine – one of the dads at work and the other at home with the baby. How about that for the baby? I don’t know. I see more lesbians married with babies than boys married with babies. And I also believe in the relationship between mother and child more than that between father and child.”
While he finally showed his support for same-sex marriage at his Chanel haute couture show in spring 2013, he still said he was “less keen” on same-sex couples adopting children, according to the AP.
Along with Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour, who directs and hosts the annual event, the MET Gala 2023 will also be co-hosted by Penelope Cruz, Dua Lipa, Michaela Coel and also Roger Federer.
While the show may be known for its glitzy and over-the-top red carpet — with details of what happens inside they often remain mysterious — at its heart is a fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute.
