Venezuela and Vietnam signed several agreements in Caracas

The Vietnamese delegation arrived in the Bolivarian Republic the day before and was received at the Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía, in the state of La Guaira, by the Vice Minister for Latin America of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and member of the National Directorate of the United Socialist Party (PSUV), Rander Pena.

The State Department’s Deputy Minister for Asia, the Middle East and Oceania, Tatiana Pugh, also visited the airport.

On his X account, formerly Twitter, Peña reported on a meeting of the visiting delegation with the first vice president of the PSUV, Diosdado Cabello.

He pointed out that Cabello and Phan signed an agreement to strengthen the comprehensive alliance in various areas and increase the effectiveness of cooperation between both parties.

Venezuela and Vietnam have had diplomatic relations since 1989.

The Bolivarian Republic recognizes the struggles and celebrates the success of the Vietnamese government under the leadership of the Communist Party in pursuing the path of economic development with a socialist orientation, thereby reducing the poverty inherited from years of colonialism, the Foreign Ministry said on Instagram. .
