Venezuela condemns Israel’s attack on Damascus airport, Syria

In a statement, the Bolivarian government condemned last Sunday’s hostilities that paralyzed Damascus International Airport.

The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela condemned this Monday the attack by the Israeli army on the facilities of the Damascus International Airport (capital) in the Syrian Arab Republic.

In a statement, the Bolivarian government condemned last Sunday’s hostilities, which led to the paralysis of Damascus International Airport and the inability to carry out air traffic operations.

He also warned that Israel’s aggression in connection with the attack on the Palestinian people would lead to political and military tensions in the Middle East, calling it a “flagrant violation of international humanitarian law that has injured thousands of people to date.” Martyrs, multiple injuries and the destruction of entire communities.”

He reiterated the need for peace diplomacy as a means to achieve unity in the international community.

He therefore called for compliance with the obligations of international law and the principles and objectives set out in the Charter of the United Nations.

The Israeli army shut down Damascus airport and forced it to divert incoming flights, causing damage to the airport’s runway and preventing United Nations (UN) humanitarian operations for the Arab country.
