Venezuela with a message of peace and cooperation at Celac EU Summit

Brussels, July 17 (Prensa Latina) Today in this capital, Executive Vice-President Delcy Rodríguez reiterated that Venezuela strives for ways of peace for all countries of the world and genuine cooperation between peoples.

In press statements shortly before entering the plenary hall of the III. At the 4th Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (Celac) and the European Union (EU), the Vice-President believed that this would be a historic meeting of two blocs of countries marked by imbalances and inequalities.

He stressed that this cooperation must be fruitful for the people who are on the streets and expect something from their rulers.

The Minister of Economy and Planning also expressed that she had great hopes of spreading the Bolivarian Republic’s message, such as lifting the “criminal blockade against our country.”

“We deliver from President Nicolás Maduro a message of peace, harmony and cooperation, which must be the path your countries must follow and lead,” he noted.

Speaking of the popular summit taking place in parallel with the meeting of Celac-UE leaders, Rodríguez indicated that Venezuela will always be there to bring the truth to the people.

He noted that humanity is facing major challenges today, and one of them is the climate crisis. He added that it is painful to see the Western government spending more than 30 times more on wars and military operations than it invests in alleviating this crisis.

Our message will be to promote equality, peace, cooperation and, above all, joint action on the climate crisis, he stressed.

The Venezuelan Vice-President arrived in Brussels, Belgium, yesterday, where she was received by Foreign Minister Yván Gil, the South American country’s Ambassador to the EU, Jorge Valero, and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium, Claude Salerno.
