The teaser of Victory Venkatesh's landmark 75th film Saindhav did not reveal the actual story. However, the core element of the film is revealed through the trailer that was released just a while back.
The trailer begins with Venkatesh's daughter dancing with joy and imitating him with cool background music. He is a superhero figure to her as he makes sure she is happy every moment. However, this happiness fades when the girl contracts the rare disease Spinal Muscular Atrophy, which is life-threatening and requires immediate medical attention. Venky has no choice but to follow his old path. He stumbles upon all the enemies and shows them what Saindhav is capable of.
It's intense and emotional at the same time. Director Sailesh Kolanu deserves credit for successfully combining these two aspects. Santosh Narayanan's music enhances the narrative at all the right places and keeps us on the edge of our seats. S.Manikandan's cinematography is stylish in terms of colors and framing while Garry BH's editing is also fantastic. Niharika Entertainment's production values are solid.
Venkatesh is exceptional in this role and shows a variety that sets him apart as a responsible father and a merciless man who cares for no one in the field. Baby Sara leaves an impression while Shraddha Srinath plays a mature role. It's a treat to see a stellar cast like Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Arya.
Needless to say, the trailer raised expectations to new levels. We still have to wait 9 days before we can see this emotional action saga in the cinema.
