The Detroit Pistons have set a new NBA record for mediocrity.
With the 118:112 defeat against the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday evening, the club suffered its 27th defeat in a row. This had never happened before in the history of the race track.
The Pistons are now 2-28 in the 2023-24 season. They haven't experienced the joy of victory since October 28th.

The team is also one setback from the mark set by the Philadelphia 76ers. This team had lost 28 consecutive games between the end of the 2014-2015 season and the start of the 2015-2016 season.
That could happen next Thursday when the Pistons visit the Boston Celtics at TD Garden. The Massachusetts club has a 23-6 record and sits atop the NBA standings.
