According to Météo France’s latest hurricane activity bulletin, released this Wednesday around 4:30 p.m., the low pressure area is developing 3,710 km east of our coasts and moving west at a speed of 13 km/h. The phenomenon generates gusts of 315 km/h at sea.
For the next three days, Darian should stay on course west and maintain the same intensity or even step up a notch tomorrow before falling again over the days.
If system number 4 of this 2022/2023 hurricane season is very strong, it should remain far from inhabited land and not affect weather conditions in Reunion. There can therefore be no question of an alarm being raised.
