Vicky McClure tied the knot with fiancé Jonny Owen in Nottingham on Friday.

The 40-year-old Line Of Duty actress looked sensational in a stunning off-the-shoulder dress with a thigh-high leg slit as she posed for photos after the ceremony.

On their romantic big day, the newlyweds were serenaded by the Dementia Choir, a singing group of people living with dementia that Vicky helped fund.

In the first few photos, she smiled alongside her new husband, 52, as her dress and dramatic veil unfolded behind her.

Vicky held a bouquet of pretty wildflowers while Johnny wore a dark blue suit with a light blue satin tie.

Their wedding was attended by a host of celebrity guests, including their Line of Duty co-stars Martin Compston, Adrian Dunbar and Craig Parkinson.

Football manager Rob Page, Everton manager Sean Dyche and TV presenter Paddy McGuinness were also in attendance.

“Tied up in Notts!!! Preferably. Day. Always!!!!!’ Vicky wrote when she announced the happy news to her followers on Instagram.

A second photo gave a glimpse of the celebrations as Vicky and Johnny danced while the Dementia Choir performed on stage.

The actress starred in the 2019 BBC One documentary series The Dementia Choir, which explored the important link between music and dementia.

The show also documented what music therapy can do for people with dementia and honored the choir’s personal journeys.

Vicky, who plays Detective Sergeant Kate Fleming on hit BBC drama Line Of Duty, has previously spoken about her grandmother Iris’ battle with dementia after she tragically passed away in 2015.

Two years later, in 2021, she proudly announced that the organization had become an officially incorporated charity.

Vicky and her new husband announced the news on Friday on his daughter Katie Owen’s BBC Wales show after she had to leave the wedding early to go to work.

Vicky told Katie live on air: “We had the most amazing special day and we’re disappointed you had to go back but we’re so proud of you.”

“You miss a lot of dancing, but we can do that again.”

Vicky and Jonny met in 2012 while filming Svengali, a film Jonny wrote, but she claimed to have fallen in love before they even met in person.

Welsh news site Nation Cymru reported she had said on BBC Radio Wales, “When we first spoke it was on the phone.” When I ended the call I just knew.

“I’ve never loved anyone more than Jonny.”

He added, “I remember walking down the Southbank.” [in London] On a weekend break from filming we went to the Tate Modern and she turned to me and asked if I would like to go to the pub instead.

“And I was like, well! I thought: “What a girl”.

“I think we almost simultaneously said, ‘I’m into you!'” It just kind of went from there and we haven’t been apart since that moment.

“I was in the process of getting divorced at the time and had been separated for seven or eight months. I think we went from “I like you” in the pub to “I love you” in about 10 seconds.”
