Valentine's Day for David and Victoria Beckham got off to a painful start when the fashion designer shared pictures of a painful foot injury on her Instagram Stories.
The couple, who shared a slew of loved-up snaps on their respective pages, led the celebrity Valentine's tributes on social media on Wednesday.
But after sharing glowing snaps of her former professional footballer husband, 48, Victoria revealed she fell in the gym and iced her foot.
She shared a picture of her foot – complete with a pink pedicure – covered in a bag of ice and wrote: “Happy Valentine's Day… fell over at the gym!!!”
Apparently less concerned about his wife's injury, David made fun of the size of her toe, writing, “How big is your toe?” Wow, I never noticed that before.”

In addition to making fun of Victoria, David also shared a series of amorous photos with his wife of almost 25 years to commemorate February 14th.
The couple both took to Instagram to pay tribute to each other. The former footballer described Victoria as an “amazing wife, mum and best friend”.
David decided to share a photo of himself kissing Victoria from his recent holiday abroad as they smooched in front of an incredible sunset.
He wrote: “Happy Valentine's Day to an amazing wife, mom and best friend.” I love you. I mean, “I just fancied her.”
Meanwhile, Posh got him Country Smallholder magazine to help him raise their own flock of chickens, living on their chicken heap in the Cotswolds.
Victoria posted a photo of David as a cowboy and shared an entertaining video of him swinging out of a ring as a cowboy years ago.
She wrote: 'Happy Valentine's Day cowboy I love you so much @davidbeckham!!' Kisses @brooklynpeltzbeckham @romeobeckham @cruzbeckham #HarperSeven xx' (sic).

She wrote: “Happy Valentine's Day David Beckham. 'I love you so much!'
The former Spice Girl also posted throwback photos of the couple in their 20s, including a throwback photo of them walking through an airport terminal.
Another showed them locking lips as teenagers shortly after meeting each other.
David and Victoria will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary in July.
The couple tied the knot at a stunning £750,000 event at the Luttrellstown Castle Resort in Ireland, complete with iconic thrones, with Victoria wearing a Vera Wang dress.
