Hockey Canada is investigating the actions of a Greater Toronto Hockey League (GTHL) U-10 coach who allegedly behaved harshly toward one of his players.

On Thursday, TSN journalist Rick Westhead shared a video of an incident with the man in his report. He is seen hitting and pushing a young hockey player’s legs with a stick. He would have taken his measures last Wednesday.
I was sent this video today, one of several allegedly filmed during a U10 GTHL team practice last night.

The GTHL said it is “required to report incidents that it suspects may constitute a violation of Hockey Canada’s safe sport policies to the independent third party working on behalf of Hockey Canada.”
The league confirmed it had filed a report on the incident.
