In the first inning of the matchup at the Sox’s Fort Myers training ground, the hitter received a fastball from starter Matt Manning and immediately collapsed on the field. The coaches quickly provided assistance when they saw that Turner was bleeding, visibly from his mouth.
When the 38-year-old veteran was on his own two feet again after a few towels to reduce circulation, he left the field and went to his dressing room.
Graphic warning: Justin Turner was drilled in the face and bleeding profusely. Really really scary stuff. Pray for JT 🙏🙏

Later that afternoon, the Sox organization clarified that the former Los Angeles Dodgers had been hospitalized with a concussion and soft tissue injuries. his condition is considered stable, but “he is awake and in good spirits”. More tests will be done later.
Easy win
After recovering from the emotions caused by Turner’s injury, his teammates beat the Tigers 7-1.
The Red Sox took the lead by driving in four runs in their first round of batting. Adam Duvall, Raimel Tapia and Jorge Alfaro drove in these heats.
Tapia, who played for the Toronto Blue Jays in 2022, was also rightly talked about in the third inning. The 29-year-old found a Brendan White pitch to his liking and kicked the ball wide.
On the hill for winners, starter Chris Sale gave up two hits in as many innings played. He also overtook two opponents in the glove. Gunner Zack Kelly conceded just one point to the Tigers, he was in sixth third position. Riley Greene stretched out her arms and hit a solo home run.
In summary
St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Steven Matz gave absolutely nothing in all three innings he played in the 7-1 win over the Houston Astros. The 31-year-old southpaw also knocked out four competitors.
Baltimore Orioles players Austin Hays, Colton Cowser and Ryan O’Hearn all scored in a 10-7 offensive drive against the Philadelphia Phillies.
