An apple is not far from the tree in the newly released teaser for the spin-off Bosch: Legacy, which will premiere on Friday, May 6 on Amazon’s free streaming service IMDb TV.
Titus Welliver, Madison Linz and Mimi Rogers reprise their roles as Harry Bosch, his daughter Madeleine and ace lawyer Honey “Money” Chandler. it turns out that he is working with his former enemy Honey. “His first job summons him to the estate of ailing billionaire Whitney Vance, where Bosch is tasked with finding Vance’s only potential heir,” reads the official synopsis. “Along the way, Bosch runs into powerful figures who have a vested interest in not finding an heir. Exploring the family tree, he uncovers shocking revelations spanning generations while billions of dollars are at stake.”
Meanwhile, Maddie follows in her father’s footsteps as a rookie patrol officer and struggles with the kind of cop she wants to be. “Her father, who continues to live by a code where everyone counts or no one counts, thinks the issue is clear: Being a cop is either a mission or just a job,” the description reads.
Produced by Fabel (née Fabrik) Entertainment, the Bosch spin-off is executive produced by novelist Michael Connelly, on whose book The Wrong Side of Goodbye the drama is loosely based, series stars Welliver, Eric Overmyer, Tom Bernardo, Henrik Bastin, Peter Jan Brugge and Zetna Fuentes (who also directed the pilot episode).
