A 39yearold tourist survives a 30meter fall while bungee jumping in Pattaya, Thailand. The accident happened on March 23 at Changthai Thappraya Safari and Adventure Park.
Identified only as Mike, he gave an interview to CNN and said he was covered in bruises after the fall. The equipment’s bungee cord snapped a few seconds before he completed the jump, causing him to fall into the water.
“I landed on my left side, so the injuries were more severe there,” he told CNN. Mike also said that he closed his eyes at the time of the jump and only realized something was wrong after he had already hit the water. “If you can’t swim, you’re in trouble,” he said.
After the accident, the amusement park reimbursed him for the jump and even paid for his xrays and ultrasounds.
Park owner Nithit Intim said staff immediately pulled Mike out of the water and took him to the hospital.
