Drew Barrymore often gives us moving moments on the set of her talk show. However, it was the host who recently broke down in tears, surprised by the flight attendant who had comforted her when she had just stopped drinking.
The video from The Drew Barrymore Show, which went viral on TikTok, shows the 48-year-old host bursting into tears as she realizes the circumstances under which she encountered this lady in the audience: It was a few years ago, when she was desperate and had just stopped drinking.
“I was your flight attendant four years ago and here I am crying on your show,” the lady told him, showing him a photo of them side by side.
Drew Barrymore can be seen distraught as he sits down next to the lady, hugs her and explains in a broken voice: “It’s been a really, really hard year. It was actually the year I stopped drinking. When you stop drinking, not all of your problems go away. There’s a lot of work to be done.”

Standing in the middle of the audience, the star openly admitted that alcohol was the main problem in his life.
“Alcohol was poison for me and I turned to it because I didn’t want to have feelings. “I felt better when I drank,” says the star, adding with a laugh that she had to ask the lady for her phone number.
“There is a reason we met that day. Thank you for letting me be so honest and transparent with you then, and thank you for being so honest and transparent with me now,” she concluded.
