The far right asked God for Jorge Ramos because he felt he was doing better than many Catholics he knew.

Ramos asks Verástegui when it will be known if he is running for the presidency of the republic, to which the far-right reply: “I posted a tweet a few days ago inviting the people, the people of God. I know you don’t believe in God, you told me that. With this in mind, the journalist replies: “I’m an agnostic, I want certainty, but I don’t have it. I would like to have your faith, but I don’t have it.”
Unusually, after what Ramos said, Verástegui closes his eyes, bows his head and begins to pray: “My God, Jesus Christ, God and true man, I ask you to bless my brother Jorge Ramos, his family and his work team him.” and protect it. And when you’re here show yourself to him, he’s a good man, Jorge is a good man, I don’t want to think about what he would do if you were in his heart and he let you in.

The far-right later apologized to Ramos, who thanked him and told him he respected his devotion but that he didn’t have the faith he did.
“It’s a grace, I’m a Catholic by the grace of God. I want you to live that faith Jorge because I know you, you are a dedicated person, you care about others, you behave better than many Catholics who say they are Catholic and don’t half of what you do, so I couldn’t imagine what you would do with God’s help,” he said.

The moment ended with the interviewee promising that Jorge Ramos would be one of the first to know if he would be encouraged to run for president, clarifying that he would do so independently as he said he was tired of the political parties, which he also is “the same bread and the same games”.
