Fantastic follows behind the scenes of the UN Security Council

Since the beginning of the war, the UN Security Council has met in New York to discuss the conflict between Israel and Hamas. In October, Brazil led the negotiations that are now underway with China.

Fantástico closely followed the routine of ambassadors, diplomats and advisers behind the scenes of this detailed work that could be crucial in resolving clashes not only now in the Middle East but around the world. (see video above)

Fifteen countries make up the council. Ten are elected and take part for two years this is the case in Brazil. Another five countries are permanent members and have veto rights. All it takes is that one of them is against it and the resolution is immediately blocked. The presidency of this council changes every month.

All four resolutions presented in the Security Council on the current Middle East conflict were rejected. Including Brazil, on the 18th.
