Are you ready ? Let’s go !
Baldur’s Gate 3
- Developer: Larian Studios
- Platforms: PC, PS5
- Release Date: August 31, 2023
It took a while for this one to arrive. It took more than twenty years for a new edition of the cult license “Baldur’s Gate” to land on our PCs. This time the Belgian studio Larian (Divinity Original Sin) is responsible. If it uses the universe and rules of Dungeons and Dragons, This third episode starts with new basics with a 3D engine and above all an unpublished story. Baldur 3 has been in Early Access since 2020 and promises an adventure worthy of the greatest role models in the genre. We are happy !
starfield
- Developer: Bethesda (Microsoft)
- Platforms: PC, Xbox Series X/S
- Release Date: September 6, 2023
Rarely has a game been so ambitious. With Starfield, Bethesda not only promises the moon, but the entire galaxy. Thousands of planets to explore, battles on Earth, in space, gigantic cities, colorful characters, activities you don’t know what to do with… It would be too easy to say that Starfield is a Skyrim in space, but it still applies its basic concept: dropping the player into a vast universe where anything goes. If all of Bethesda’s promises are kept, we will undoubtedly have the right to a title that will mark video game history. That’s all we want.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
- Developer: Insomniac Games (Sony)
- Platform: PS5
- Release date: October 20, 2023
It is undoubtedly the great exceptional PS5 of this end of the year. As a direct sequel to Marvel’s Spider-Man (2018) and its expansion Miles Morales (2020), this second part promises a lot. This time our two heroes face new enemies: Kraven and Venom. If this continuation uses the formula of the first part, She expands the playing field by adding Brooklyn and Queens in addition to Manhattan. In addition, it will be possible to switch from one Spidey to another with a simple push of a button, like in GTA 5. A huge blockbuster that is sure to be a hit on PS5.
Star Wars outlaws
- Developer: Massive Entertainment (Ubisoft)
- Platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC
- Release date: 2024
Outlaws is the self-proclaimed “first open-world Star Wars game” (forgetting Galaxies, by the way). a single player adventure centered around the criminal underworld of the space universe. The player embodies Kay Vess, a villain trying to survive during the rule of the Empire. This is a third-person game that emphasizes infiltration, action phases, but also pilot sequences. The promise of the open world is great, as it should be possible to jump from one planet to another without loading time.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage
- Developer: Ubisoft Bordeaux
- Platforms: Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC
- Release date: October 12, 2023
After three episodes focused on a gigantic world and on the light RPG, The Assassin’s Creed license returns to its roots with an “old-fashioned” component. In Mirage, the player embodies Basim, an assassin operating in 9th-century Baghdad. No more skill points, talent trees, leveling, and overly large play areas, as we have something similar to the first games, with a small but dense town where parkour takes center stage. A risky bet, but one that pays off?
Alan Wake 2
- Developer: workaround
- Platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC
- Release date: October 17, 2023
Released in 2010, the first Alan Wake turned the small world of video games upside down with its twisted story and incredible atmosphere. It took thirteen years to finally get the right to a sequel. Once again, Remedy wants to focus its game on storytelling. In addition to the writer still lost in his works, the player will play Saga Anderson, an FBI agent tasked with investigating his disappearance. The focus is on horror, but also action, with fights where you always have to ‘light’ the enemies before eliminating them.
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown
- Developer: Ubisoft Montpellier
- Platforms: PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch
- Release date: January 18, 2024
The Prince of Persia makes a comeback with The Lost Crown. This time we’re entitled to a Metroidvania and not a 3D action-adventure game… and this is the best part! The title is thus similar to the original game from 1989 and brings a breath of fresh air to a Ubisoft catalog mostly focused on open-world adventures. The Lost Crown could well be the surprise of 2024, reviving a franchise that has been dormant for far too long.
fable
- Developer: Playground Games
- Platforms: Xbox Series X/S, PC
- Release date: not announced
More than ten years after the last part, the Fable license returns in a reboot in good and proper form. A reboot that Microsoft is relying heavily on and has entrusted to Baby Playground Games, which is already behind the excellent Forza Horizon. If we don’t have any gameplay footage yet to see how it all plays out, check out the trailer shown during the Xbox Games Showcase lets us realize that the essence of the saga has been preserved.
Dragon’s Dogma 2
- Developer: Capcom
- Platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC
- Release date: not announced
The first Dragon’s Dogma (2012) wasn’t a smashing commercial success, but it has built a solid fan base over the course of the reboots. Capcom is giving the saga a second chance with a second installment that we were hoping for more. We’ll take the same system and start over, but better! We still have an action roleplaying game that gives the combat the punch it needs. We hope that this sequel will be worthy of the first part.
Final Fantasy 7 rebirth
- Developer: Square Enix
- Platform: PS5
- Release date: early 2024
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is a direct sequel to the 2020 remake and should offer more freedom over the original game. We find Cloud and his gang where we left them, at the exit of Midgard. Gone is the sprawling city Since then we’ve been exploring the world on levels that promise to be more open. Could this reinvention of the myth change the fate of certain characters? We hope, we hope…

Bruno’s choice: Twinsen’s Little Big Adventure Remastered
- Developer: [2.21]
- Platform: PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, Switch
- Release date: 2024
Nostalgia speaks here. The two “Little Big Adventures” are true monuments of the adventure games of the 1990s and are entitled to a remaster with a clear conscience. Revised graphics, revised mechanics: this version should allow old-timers to dive back into these adventures and newcomers to discover them.
Peter’s choice: Cities Skylines 2
- Developer: Colossal Order
- Platform: PC, Xbox Series X/S
- Release date: October 24, 2023
Have you ever spent more than 1000 hours playing a game without seeing the time go by? If not, you’ve never started Cities Skylines. The most comprehensive city building game of all time finally gets a sequel. The concept remains the same: you build a city from scratch and then manage it. It sounds so simple, but as the game progresses, many issues require your attention. Congestion, crime, education, disasters of all kinds… it’s up to you to deal with them! An addictive time wasting game that will not improve your social life.
Simon’s choice: Citizen Sleeper 2
- Developer: Leap over time
- Platform: PC
- Release date: not announced
After a first part that caused a stir, Citizen Sleeper returns in a direct sequel. No gameplay footage has been released so far, just an animated trailer. This does not detract from the expectations surrounding the title.
Sam’s choice: Persona 5 Tactica
- Platforms: Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC
- Developer: Atus
- Release date: November 17, 2023
Atlus’ flagship saga returns in a new installment! This is not a numbered episode, however a spin-off focused on tactical combat. Regardless, the fans are overjoyed. We find the graphic touch of the saga that is so special in this title expected for November.
Kevin’s choice: Hades 2
- Developer: Supergiant Games
- Platform: PC
- Release date: not announced
The first Hades was a real hit, taking the Supergiant Games studio to the top. After this critical and commercial success, the developer has apparently started work on a sequel. This time we will control Melinoë, the sister of the hero of the first opus. It’s still going to be a very action-oriented rogue-lite.
