In the pictures taken by an Australian tourist, the group of residents and lifeguards seem to have no problem carrying the huge and fearsome beast.
Nicole Gonzales was enjoying her vacation on Legian Beach with her 12yearold daughter as she filmed the kidnapping of a giant saltwater crocodile.
“The first time for everything! I just saw a crocodile wash up on Legian beach,” she wrote, posting the video to a closed Facebook group over the holiday season.
The animals of the species are known to be quite violent and hostile they can also use their powerful jaws to hunt sharks and other crocodiles.
To capture such a large animal, the group used ropes and pieces of wood. The work was made easier by the fact that the animal is not as large as some specimens of the species, which reach an impressive 7 meters, making them the largest reptiles in the world.
As the name suggests, these crocodiles also swim in the sea to hunt prey, making them even more dangerous.
One of the spectators in the group said in horror, “I’m only going to use swimming pools now!”
