Apple just released two new videos in which we discover the potential of two of its flagship smartphones. On the one hand, the iPhone 14 Plus and its large 6.7-inch display, but above all its battery, which allows it to easily last the whole day without having to use the charging case. Ideal for a trip! Cupertino, on the other hand, highlights the accident detection of its iPhone 14 Pro.
The latter uses several sensors, including the gyroscope, the accelerometer or the microphone. Motorists can take advantage of the option by activating it in the background so that possible signs of traffic accidents are detected. However, bicycles are not supported. Also note that it is advisable not to leave the system running during a skiing session, otherwise there is a risk of false alarms being triggered. These can be expensive for the community, sometimes resulting in large-scale relief efforts being sent out at their expense when the iPhone automatically alerts them, but for nothing.
Unparalleled autonomy
Apple has therefore chosen to rent the capacities of its iPhone 14 Plus over time. Along with the iPhone 14 Pro Max, the device is one of the phones with the best battery supply, especially when it comes to endurance. Officially, it is therefore possible to hold up to 26 hours of video playback. The story doesn’t tell us under what test conditions this result was achieved, but we bet that the volume was minimal and the content was stored locally, telecommunications were disabled.
As for streaming, on the other hand, Apple continues to indicate that the iPhone 14 Plus achieves an autonomy of up to twenty hours, which is not negligible. For comparison: A “classic” iPhone 14 (6.1 inch) does not last more than 16 hours under these conditions. The price is cheaper, though: €1,019 for the base model with 128GB of internal storage, versus €1,169 for the equivalent iPhone 14 Plus.
New models on the way
These advantages, despite everything, may prove undeniable. Let’s not forget that we are not far away from the possible arrival of new high-end iPhones. It is therefore assumed that from September the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will succeed the editions that interest us today. Maybe with an upwardly revised price…
