Ben Affleck receives support after falling out with Jennifer Lopez at a red carpet event.

New photos that surfaced online on Thursday (May 11) apparently showed Affleck sharing a heated moment with Lopez at the premiere of her new movie, The Mother.

However, the clip from which the photos are taken has since been shared on social media and seems to be proof that the couple didn’t fight at all. Instead, it seemed like they were just trying to sort out the logistics of the event.

After Daily Loud shared photos from the clip, captioned “Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez argue on red carpet,” many defended the couple, with one fan replying, “No they didn’t lol.”

“It doesn’t look like they’re arguing,” another Twitter user wrote, adding; “It looks like they agree on a location or something.”

A disclaimer has since appeared below the tweet, informing users that the photos are “misleading”.

The context note reads, “According to video of the interaction, the couple were not fighting, just chatting.”

A lipreader confirmed that notion, claiming to Mail Online that after posing for photos with his wife, Affleck said, “We’re done with that?”

According to the lipreader, the Argo actor-director then gave her a kiss and asked if she was okay.

Over the years, the Gone Girl star’s facial expression has inspired multiple memes. In February, he went viral while being filmed while bored at the 2023 Grammy Awards.

His wife even poked fun at his seemingly “miserable” expression when she posted a screenshot from the movie “Air,” which showed her spouse frowning. In the caption to her Instagram post, she jokingly wrote, “My husband’s happy face.”

In response to the new video, one fan tweeted, “People need to understand that Ben Affleck’s face is just miserable all the time, even though he’s never been happier.”
