Patrick Roy got angry with Shawinigan Cataractes head coach Daniel Renaud in the third half on Wednesday, accusing him of prompting his players to hit against those of the Quebec Remparts.

The Red Devils pilot climbed onto the bay window to yell at his counterpart, and the lively discussion lasted a few seconds.
“I hope the league will investigate this. Seeing a manager hiding behind his players and telling them to hit harder has no place in our league, Roy told Le Nouvelliste after the game. We heard him give these instructions to the players. That damages the image of our league.
For his part, Renaud vehemently denied these allegations.
“He [Patrick Roy] must have very, very good ears. Considering the two windows separating the two benches, there is no noise going from side to side. Zero. I don’t hear anything about what’s happening on the opposing bench and it’s impossible for anyone to hear a comment from our bench. It is impossible. Either way, it’s wrong.”
The Remparts won the game 6-3.
