The Italian judiciary said on Thursday that they had opened an investigation after the city police beat a Brazilian transsexual in Milan. The scene was filmed by witnesses and broadcast on social networks.
The prosecutor responsible for the case confirmed to AFP that an investigation had been launched.
The footage shows three police officers and one policewoman beating a person with batons and spraying a tear gas canister while she is lying on the ground with her hands raised, before handcuffing her and taking her to the police station.
This video is stationed in Milan, the agents’ violence is inaudible.

According to the media, these agents intervened after several parents of students called who complained about her presence at the entrance of a school, claiming that she was shouting.
During her transfer to the police station, she reportedly said she felt ill and when the police vehicle stopped she tried to flee and then, when caught by the police, screamed that she had AIDS.
