The BBC said it had “temporarily” taken the video offline because it contained editing errors.
It wasn’t an editing error. It was manipulation and that becomes clear when you know that Sarah AlSuwaisa actually made the statement that she was very proud of Hamas and Palestine. But in another video that the Arabic channel Al Jazeera published on Instagram.
Because they had the information but not the video, and believing that most people in the West do not speak Arabic, the BBC manipulated the translation of the video and inserted the declaration of love to Hamas into the video they had.
