[VIDÉO] Summer party: A Quebec busker thinks he’s playing for tourists and lands on Heart – Le Journal de Québec’s Ann Wilson’s Facebook page

Street musician André Alexandre Dumont thought he was singing Alone for simple tourists from Memphis. It was more about Ann Wilson’s musicians, and a video of her performance (which you can see above) ended up on the Facebook page of the famous Heart singer without her knowledge.

He can’t come back.

“Let’s see! I find myself on Ann Wilson’s Facebook,” enthuses the 62-year-old singer and guitarist.

“It’s one of my favorite bands when I was 15-16. I climbed onto the roof of my father’s house [afin de capter les ondes des radios américaines] to hear Barracuda,” adds the man Le Journal met on Sunday in front of the Caisse Pop Desjardins, rue Saint-Jean, where he was playing with his chorister Marc-Antoine Roy.

Four men with long hair

During the evening, “four men with long hair” arrived, says Mr. Dumont.

“They asked me to sing Barracuda, but I won’t do it. Instead, I offered “Alone”. They said no problem.

What the Lévis-based musician didn’t know is that the four boys were the Tripsitters, Ann Wilson’s group who accompanied him during his concert at the Parc de la Francophonie on Monday night.

On the video we hear her singing with André Alexandre Dumont and shouting “Yeah!”. approver.

They left with a generous $25 tip.

“It’s not anything”

The musician forgot about the four tourists until a quidam, recognizing his Pinocchio holding the hat, randomly calls him on Wednesday.

“Guys guys, do you know you’re on Ann Wilson’s Facebook?” he threw at her.

After checking, André Alexandre Dumont and Marc-Antoine Roy found out that it was true and, above all, who the famous tourists were.

“It’s not anything. If they didn’t like it, they wouldn’t have posted the video. There are even comments from the Americans,” says Mr. Dumont, still pinching himself.

“What musician in Quebec can boast of being on Ann Wilson’s Facebook? Not even Eric Lapointe…”
