  • Apple shared a video to learn how to use Stage Manager
  • This iPad feature is also available on the Mac and offers a new take on multitasking
  • To enable it, just go through its associated Control Center shortcut

Apple has shared a two-minute video on its YouTube channel that gives you some tips on how to use Stage Manager well. This novelty that has arrived with iPadOS 16 and macOS Venturaallows you to resize the windows of the apps at will, overlay them or even create alternative “desktops” at will.

The only downside, and not the least: since its inception, the feature has seen many setbacks, sometimes full of setbacks Beetle, sometimes too difficult to master for users who are still used to previous versions of the operating system. However, it seems that Apple has finally been able to deliver on its promises of a return to normal, thanks to several fairly effective updates over the past few months.

Which iPads and Macs are compatible with Stage Manager?

Tablets compatible with Stage Manager are any that can install iPadOS 16 or later versions of the software. These include in particular the two iPad Pros with an M2 chip, the fifth generation iPad Air, the sixth generation iPad mini and the classic tenth generation iPad.

You must therefore have macOS Ventura installed on your computer. This edition launched last September and was previewed as part of the 2022 Worldwide Developer Conference. Apple also shared the list of compatible Macs, including the Mac Studio, the latest Mac Pro, and any MacBook Air released from 2018 or any MacBook Pro from 2017, among others.

Then just open the first app you want to view and more as needed. The different apps that are open at the same time for each virtual desktop are listed on the left side of the iPad screen.
