A loud boo, from start to finish. On Thursday evening (December 14), during the opening of the show celebrating the 35th anniversary of BDMG Cultural at the Palácio das Artes in Belo Horizonte, the public reacted to a video sent by Governor Romeu Zema (Novo) on the occasion of the celebration. Not a word was heard as the audience booed in droves.

The collective demonstration lasted exactly as long as the video. Right at the end, when a new video was announced, this time about the history of the cultural institution, there was a storm of applause.

The show “Sounds of a History” created for the event celebrated AfroMinasgerian culture. It was attended by Mauricio Tizumba, Titane, Sérgio Santos, Sérgio Pererê and Raquel Coutinho, who performed the show accompanied by a band of instrumentalists participating in the BDMG Instrumental project.

The evening opened together: from the audience of the Grand Theater came dozens of members of the Congo Female Guard of Nossa Senhora do Rosário and Irmandade do Rosário os Ciriacos, who joined the artists on stage. Unlike the governor, they left the place with an ovation.
