Vietnam confirms the importance of the strategic partnership with Russia

Hanoi is ready to continue its substantial and effective cooperation with Moscow in all areas to pursue the interests of both peoples as well as peace, stability and development in the region and the world, Minh Chinh emphasized at the reception of Russia’s Minister of Emergency Situations, Aleksandr Kurenkov.

In this context, the Vietnamese head of government suggested that both sides should further expand the exchange of delegations at all levels and effectively use existing cooperation mechanisms, especially the intergovernmental committee.

He also recommended that the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations and the public security and defense departments of the Indochinese nation strengthen delegation exchanges and share more experiences on issues of warning and prevention of emergency situations.

Russia pays attention to traditional relations with Vietnam and wants to promote them in all areas, said Kurenkov, who, according to the VNA news agency, promised to work to promote bilateral cooperation.

Kurenkov was also received the previous day by Vietnamese Defense Minister General Phan Van Giang, who emphasized that cooperation in this area continues to be fruitful and represents a pillar of relations between the two countries.

The results of the collaboration can be felt, among other things, in personnel training, medicine and military history as well as between military services and weapons.

The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations is ready to share expertise and wants to learn from Vietnam’s experience in responding to incidents and natural disasters, said the head of this ministry, reiterating his interest in continuing bilateral cooperation.
