This was confirmed this Wednesday by the Vice President of the People's Committee of the coastal city in the center of the country, Tran Chi Cuong, who assured that efforts are being made to guarantee the best possible conditions for the participating delegations.
Representatives from 11 countries will attend the student sporting event to compete in six sports: track and field, swimming, basketball, badminton, Pencak Silat (a traditional form of Indonesian fighting) and Vovinam (Vietnamese martial art), the latter being included for the first time in the Program.
The first edition of the Southeast Asian School Games took place in 2009 with the aim of not only providing space for regional sporting competitions, but also opportunities for exchange and integration.
This is the second time Vietnam is organizing the fair, having done so in 2013.
