Visit near the front: Zelenskyy thanks the armed forces

During a visit near the front, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked his soldiers for defending his country in the most difficult conditions.

During his stay in Ukraine’s eastern Donetsk region, he also gave awards to soldiers deployed in the “most dangerous and responsible” places, Zelenskyy said in a video he posted on Telegram after his return to Kyiv yesterday. He was also in the Kharkiv region and met doctors there treating wounded fighters.

Zelenskyy has already shown itself in sub-zero temperatures at the entrance to the city of Slovjansk in the Donetsk region. Sloviansk is about 35 kilometers from the front. About nine and a half months after the Russian invasion, Zelenskyy traveled to his particularly hotly contested east to mark the day of the Ukrainian armed forces.
