The red carpet at the 2023 VMAs has barely opened and a fashion trend is already taking center stage: transparency. Stars like Anitta, Karol G and Megan Thee Stallion walked the awards show’s pink carpet in flowing fabrics that accentuated their curves and didn’t overshadow their underwear.

In Schiaparelli Fall/Winter 2023, Anitta focused on the transparency at the bottom of the long black dress with a cutout at the stomach and a bodice highlighted by a pastel pink tone. Megan highlighted her natural sensuality with a tight, offtheshoulder number from Brandon Blackwood, while Karol G revived the mermaid classic with a train dress embroidered with shiny threads from Ashi Studio’s Fall/Winter 2023 collection.
