Wait, two Philadelphian men put their dogs on cat and LAUGH as the animals maul the pet

Disgusting Moment Two Philadelphia animal abusers set their pit bulls on a cat named Buddy and LAUGH while the bloodthirsty dogs brutally maul the helpless pet

  • Two Philadelphia pit bull owners were caught unleashing their dogs on a helpless family cat named Buddy in Philadelphia on Tuesday
  • A man can be seen drawing his dog’s attention to the cat before dropping its leash and the other man follows him
  • The men laugh, one yells “Get him” and “Good boy” as their dogs maul the cat
  • Buddy is currently in critical condition and the Pennsylvania SPCA is accepting donations for his extensive medical needs
  • He made it through the night, and the agency’s representatives are “(very) cautiously optimistic” that he’ll pull through
  • If caught, the men face up to seven years in prison for felonies, animal fighting and animal cruelty

Two Philadelphia dog owners stood by and laughed as they let go of their pit bulls’ leashes and let them maul the cornered cat of a family, who taunted and cheered on the animals until the cat’s owner came outside to stop the attack.

The Pennsylvania SPCA has distributed surveillance camera footage that captured Tuesday’s attack in the Frankford neighborhood and urged anyone who recognizes the dogs or their owners.

One of the men seems to notice the cat, then draws his dog’s attention to it before dropping the leash. The second man follows suit while the first man yells “Get him” and “Good boy” and encourages the animals while the men laugh.

The dogs immediately pounced on the cat and still had the helpless animal under control when its owner emerged.

The cat, named Buddy, suffered significant abdominal lacerations and internal damage and is currently in critical condition, Nicole Wilson, director of the Human Law Enforcement PSPCA, told NBC10.

The agency announced on its Twitter page this morning that he survived Wednesday night.

“We are (very) cautiously optimistic,” they wrote in the Post, asking for donations to help the suffering animal.

If found, the men face up to seven years in prison for felonies, animal fighting and animal cruelty, the agency said.

“Putting an animal on another animal for entertainment is considered animal combat, so that would be a criminal offense,” Wilson told NBC10.

“There are additional laws concerning abusing an animal and causing grievous bodily harm, which is evident that Buddy suffered grievous bodily harm. That is also a crime.’

Anyone who recognizes the men or has information about the attack is urged to leave an anonymous tip on the PSPCA Cruelty Hotline at 866-601-7722 or email [email protected].

“We really want to address this because what is clear from the video is that these individuals took the opportunity to harm another living being that was doing nothing to harm them,” Wilson said.

“So our concern isn’t just for other animals, we all know the connection between violence against animals and violence against people. It’s strong and we just need to address this issue immediately to prevent further suffering.’
