Guterres invoked a UN Charter article for the first time to call on the Security Council to enforce a humanitarian ceasefire. Tensions may rise as a far-right Israeli demonstration was authorized this Thursday near the Esplanade of Mosques in Jerusalem. The Palestinian Authority has called on the international community to intervene to stop this.
