The French president spoke about Israel’s “war goal” since COP28 on climate in Dubai.

Emmanuel Macron raises the specter of an “endless war”. The French president warned Israel on Saturday, December 2, that the goal of the “total destruction of Hamas” must be “specified” as it carries the risk of a “ten-year” war. “The total destruction of Hamas, (…) does anyone think that is possible?” asked the head of state during a press conference on the sidelines of COP28 in Dubai, demanding that “this goal be clarified by the Israeli authorities”.
As Israel shells the Gaza Strip in retaliation for the bloody Hamas attack on October 7, “the good fight against terrorism does not consist in systematic and sustained bombing,” Emmanuel Macron said, expressing his “concern” about the ceasefire between Israel and Israel the Palestinian Islamists The power movement in Gaza ended on Friday.
“The correct response against a terrorist group is not to destroy an entire territory or to bomb all civilian capacities,” emphasized the French president.
