The federal government is expected to announce its decision next week.
In particular, due to growing and pressing demands in this regard, “Germany will most likely decide to deliver Leopard 2 to Ukraine” and announce it next week, Bloomberg reported on Friday.
“Berlin will decide before a meeting of high-ranking representatives of the defense ministries of the allied countries scheduled for January 20 at the American air base in Ramstein,” according to American media.
A meeting that was preceded the day before by a meeting between German Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht and Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin.
The federal government’s decision will be communicated to its western allies on January 20.
