654 days after the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, fighting continues on the front lines. Ukraine continues to seek support from the international community to support its country's war effort. But for Alexandre Orlov, guest at the microphone of Pierre de Vilno at Europe 1: “Vladimir Putin won the war.”
One year and nine months since the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. 654 days of fighting and no one seems to know when this war will end. Ukraine continues to ask Western countries for help to continue the fighting. A vain attitude, according to His Excellency Alexandre Orlov, former Russian ambassador to France: “I think that he (Vladimir Putin, editor's note) has already won the war.”
The element that, in his opinion, means that Russia has already won the war is the lack of men in the Ukrainian army: “The Ukrainian army lacks manpower, you can send as many weapons and ammunition as you want.” Soon there will be no one left to use these weapons. You have no reserves left, poor people.”
“We have even prepared a draft peace agreement”
According to Alexander Orlov, the United States shares responsibility in this conflict: “The Americans wage proxy wars, then they abandon these people.” 90% of the money that the Americans allegedly gave to Ukraine was spent in the United States.” For the former Russian ambassador to France, the US financed its own military-industrial complex to enrich itself: “This is the secret of war.”
The American government would also be responsible for ensuring that the conflict between Russia and Ukraine has not ended despite Russia's goodwill. : “The Russians began withdrawing their soldiers from Kiev as negotiations began with the Ukrainians, first in Belarus, then in Turkey. We have even prepared a draft peace agreement. But Boris Johnson, American envoy, came to Kiev to say no, no signature, we have to continue the war.
After all, the cause of this war in February 2022 was the oppression of the Russian population in this region: “Why did we attack eastern Ukraine? Because the Russian-speaking population was threatened and attacked by the power.” And as for the fear of neighboring countries like Poland that Russia might expand its borders to other areas: “Russia has no interest in conquering its lands, we have ours own lands that we don't have,” is not yet clear. “We have so much work at home.”
