- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the use of US ATACMS missiles on Tuesday, without specifying where or when they were fired. Neither the USA nor Ukraine had yet announced a delivery. According to the White House, ATACMS missiles will “boost” Ukraine’s military capabilities.
- Washington’s decision to supply Ukraine with long-range ATACMS missiles is ‘a serious mistake’said Russian Ambassador to the US Anatoly Antonov on Wednesday. “The consequences of this measure, deliberately hidden from public view, will be extremely serious,” he said in a statement.
- Ukrainian special forces had previously claimed to have carried out destructive attacks on two Russian army airfields during the night, in Luhansk and Berdyansk. The operation, called “Dragonfly,” resulted in the destruction of runways, nine helicopters, an anti-aircraft system and an ammunition depot, it said.
