Two rescuers killed
The Ukrainian government announced on Saturday, November 18, the deaths of two rescue workers in a Russian bomb attack in the Zaporizhia region.
Four people were also injured among residents in the area and a residential building caught fire. “When police and rescuers arrived at the scene, the terrorist country’s military fired again (…). Two employees of the state emergency service were killed, three more of their colleagues were injured to varying degrees,” Ukrainian police said on X (formerly Twitter).
“Double taps,” these two-stage bombings a few minutes apart that target relief efforts, are relatively rare in Ukraine despite the intensity of the fighting.
