War in Ukraine: Sergey Lavrov calls on US and NATO to stop arming Kiev

The Russian foreign minister also assured that “all the objectives of the military special operation will be achieved”.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called on NATO and the United States to halt arms sales to Kyiv if they were “really interested in solving the Ukraine crisis.”

In an interview published by the official New China Agency on Saturday, Sergei Lavrov also reiterated that the Russian offensive in Ukraine is “going according to plan”.

“A steady stream of weapons of all kinds has entered Ukraine through Poland and other NATO countries,” Sergei Lavrov said.

“If the United States and NATO are really interested in resolving the Ukraine crisis, then first of all they need to wake up and stop supplying arms and ammunition to the Kiev regime,” added the head of Russian diplomacy.

“All objectives of the military special operation will be achieved”

About forty countries met Tuesday in Germany, around the United States, to coordinate an expedited delivery of military equipment that Kyiv is demanding.

As the United States and Ukraine report a delay in Russia’s offensive in Donbass, whose complete capture has become Moscow’s priority, Sergey Lavrov assured that the offensive is proceeding as planned.

“The special military operation that began on February 24 is proceeding strictly according to plan. All the goals of the special military operation will be achieved despite the obstacles of our opponents,” he said.
