The daughter of a Ukrainian father and a Russian mother, Marina Ovsyannikova, received massive support from Internet users on social networks.
The 44-year-old journalist, presented as a “protester”, was immediately arrested and taken to the police station after her lively gesture.

In a video filmed before the rally on the set and broadcast by the public organization protecting the rights of demonstrators OVD-Info, Marina Ovsyannikova explained that she worked for a national channel and today she regrets it. “Unfortunately, for the past few years I have been working on Channel One, doing propaganda for the Kremlin. I am very ashamed of this today.”
Marina Ovsyannikova has sharply criticized the position of the Russian media, which she accuses of being Kremlin propaganda organs. “I am ashamed that I allowed lies to be broadcast on television, I am ashamed that I allowed the Russian people to be zombified,” she continues, explaining the semantic technique of these media, which do not talk about “war”, but about “military exercises”. to justify the Russian invasion of his father’s country.
The journalist, who was born in Odessa, a port city in southern Ukraine that has been heavily bombed since the beginning of Vladimir Putin’s invasion, explained that she cannot “consider the two countries as enemies.”
According to the TASS agency, the girl may be prosecuted for “compromising the use of the Russian armed forces.”
