They can run at speeds of up to 80 km/h, have a range of 320 km and can carry missiles designed to be fired at Russian tanks. It is electric bikes ELEEK and Delfast that theUkraine used in war against Russia, to repel the advance of the troops Putin. “A container with NLAW missiles is attached to the bike – wrote Delfast founder Danylo Tonkopi in a Facebook post – you understand where and what they are for.”

Electric war wheels, 320 km range
The electric bikes are all equipped with working pedals, increasing the range to over 320km. The new vehicles, which will be delivered to the Ukrainian army, are especially useful where there are no roads and rails. They also possess a unique ability: the ability to carry heavy loads, allowing armed forces to use them to transport goods. But not only. Also to carry rockets to be fired at Russian tanks.
The subcontractors
There are two companies that make electric war wheels: ELEEK and Delfast. The announcement was made on May 8 by Vice-President of the Ukrainian Association of Electric Vehicle Market Participants Vadym Ignatov. wrote in a Facebook post about the arrival of ELEEK’s bikes in the country’s armed forces. In addition to the USB ports already available on board, the company’s engineers have added a 220V output that allows the use of any regular charger.

Modifications for launching rockets
Ukrainian defenders modified motorcycles to carry NLAW missiles or new-generation light anti-tank weapons to improve their combat capabilities. The operation of these missiles is detailed in an article published by Electrek. These small but powerful weapons are designed to allow a single operator to kill an enemy tank. They are also designed to be carried by humans and carried by infantry, making transportation on an electric bike much easier.

In addition, the fact that NLAW missiles are used in conjunction with electric bikes provides another benefit. Positioning to launch an NLAW missile in an open area is extremely dangerous, as the operator is often exposed to the enemy tank’s cannons as well as the numerous artillery pieces of the surrounding troops. The soldier’s vulnerability can be greatly reduced by using a powerful electric bike to quickly and discreetly establish a firing position and then move away from the area.
