Kyiv: “The intensity of the Russian attacks on Bakhmut is very low”
Russian troops continued to shell positions of Ukrainian forces near the town of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region. However, on the last day there was only one military confrontation. This was stated by the representative of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Sergey Cherevaty, quoted by ArmyInform. “In the Bakhmut sector, the occupiers carried out 250 attacks with various weapons. Our troops returned fire. During these actions, 80 occupiers were killed, 99 were injured and one Russian soldier was captured, three self-propelled artillery systems, an electronic warfare station and an ammunition depot were destroyed,” Cherevaty explained, adding that “the enemy is currently rotating its troops and Wagner -Fighters replaced by other units.” The representative of the Eastern Armed Forces concluded that, despite the so-called successes and achievements reported in the Russian media, the aggressor’s troops did not manage to gain complete control within ten months to obtain via Bachmut.
