The driver of the Ford150 pickup, whose name was not released, drove around a busy intersection at 17th Street and Northside Drive Sunday night just before a Georgia state police officer began chasing him, sparking a frantic scene .
The video shows the horrifying scene where the runaway vehicle crashed into several people standing in the street while others scrambled as the police vehicle pursued the attacker.
As they watched the frantic scene unfold, shocked onlookers could be heard shouting, “Oh shit.”
In a final clip, the police car can be seen colliding with the vehicle multiple times and then using a pursuit tactic known as a PIT maneuver, forcing a fleeing vehicle to make an abrupt sideways turn, causing the driver to lose control and stop.

The officer then jumps onto the hood of the attacker’s car, pulls the driver out of the truck by the arm and handcuffs him.
Many bystanders were caught on video while the action scene was being filmed, while others cheered on the officer.
When officers arrested the suspect, the driver appeared to offer no resistance, the New York Post reported.
It is unclear how many people were injured.
Citizen Free Press posted – the showdown between the good guys and the bad guys – on X It went viral, garnering almost 4 million views and praising the police officer for his heroism.
