A homeowner in Washington opened fire on three masked men claiming to be police officers as they kicked in his front door.
Doorbell security footage showed the men wearing black ski masks and all armed with pistols as they approached the Auburn, Washington, property around 2 a.m. Thursday.
One of the suspects shouted “Seattle police” and tried to break down the door before the others joined in.
The homeowner then shot them multiple times, shattering a window, and the suspects fled the scene.
Auburn police were called to the address in the 31000 block of 117 Place Southeast for reports of a shooting without injury. The suspects have not been identified.

In the footage, the three men can be seen climbing onto the property’s porch and opening the screen door.
A man in a gray sweater and matching sweatpants walked up to the front door.
Another, dressed all in black, joins them and tries to open the door.
The gunman in gray then runs towards it and tries to force it open before the third man in brown trousers tries to kick it again.
But the homeowner fires several shots at the masked men, who only flee when a bullet shatters the screen door window.
Authorities were then called to the property and a resident at the address told officers that three men had attempted to break into the home.
“When the officers arrived at the scene, a resident of the address reported an attempted break-in at his house involving three suspects,” said a police spokesman.
“Security footage from the home showed three masked men with guns identifying themselves as “Seattle police” before attempting to kick in the door.

“The homeowner was armed and quickly began shooting through the door at the intruders.
“After several shots were fired, the three suspects fled. Auburn Police Department detectives are working hard to identify the three suspects in this case.
The authority is asking anyone who recognizes the suspects to contact the police.
The incident follows two other attempted armed home invasions reported in Kent earlier this week.

In Hollywood Hills on Sunday, a woman shot and killed a man who allegedly tried to break into her home.
A man called police Sunday evening to report his wife had shot a would-be intruder in their home in the 2800 block of Hollyridge Drive.
Police found the man with a gunshot wound, but conscious and breathing, and was taken to a hospital.
The suspected intruder, a man in his 30s, is in critical condition, according to officials.
According to a spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department, he had pushed against the back door of the house to get in, saying he was injured and needed help.
