WATCH: Bill Maher says Zelensky proves ‘the world still needs grown men’

Comedian and talk show host Bill Maher has blasted liberals who attack masculinity.

Maher, the host of Real Time with Bill Maher, pointed out the double standards of today’s waking culture amid praise for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

“If there’s one thing we’ve learned from the Ukraine crisis, it’s that everyone loves and the world still needs grown men,” Maher said. “Look, you can talk about manhood itself being toxic, or you can be horny for Volodymyr Zelensky, but you can’t do both.”

The HBO host pointed to social media posts touting people’s attraction to Zelensky, including a tweet Expectations Every woman has a little crush on the President of Ukraine.

“Now certainly there is no denying that throughout history a lot of toxicity has been associated with men,” Maher said, noting that male brutality should not be condoned.

“There are brave women fighting in Ukraine, but the images of people fleeing all seem to be women and children, while every able-bodied man in Ukraine stays here to fight and maybe die,” Maher added and upheld Ukraine’s order banning men aged 18 to 60 from leaving the country. “It’s not always a great advantage to be a man, and while we may be toxic, we’re sometimes practical.”

Maher said Zelenskyy, no matter how much it bothers the left, fits the once-popular definition of a “man’s man.”

“It turns out that after 200,000 years, there’s still a lot of ‘another tribe coming to kill us,’ and when that happens you want some big D*** energy,” Maher said.

The moderator pointed out that the value of masculinity in modern society is dwindling due to the constant lecturing of liberals.

“It’s a result of what we’ve been drummed into for the last few years that masculinity itself is toxic, scary and undeveloped,” Maher said. “And women don’t like it, and those who think they do, really don’t. And if you think you do, you are wrong too.”
